Fans of holidays in Mexico are in good company - movie star Jessica Simpson has recently been spotted in the country.
The destination found the Dukes of Hazzard pin-up in a charitable mood, as she visited a local orphanage to donate a white Chrysler mini-van, reports the Associated Press.
Simpson had acquired the mini-van in exchange for the white Chrysler Crossfire car the star won at last year's MTV awards.
The residents of the orphanage, located at Nuevo Laredo, could not believe their luck as Simpson signed autographs and posed for photographs.
While the actress and singer had visited the orphanage before and pledged a car, residents were nevertheless stunned to witness the actress deliver it in person, according to the news source.
Luckily, the attractions of a holiday in Mexico mean that Simpson's altruism did not get in the way of a good time.
The destination's vibrant market stalls and friendly bars are fuelled by the warmth of the intense South American sun and make for a fun-filled break.
Mexico's movie fans - who have undoubtedly developed a soft spot for Simpson - can see the actress again in her new film, Blonde Ambition, to be released later this year.
