Join the whales in Mexico - 25 Oct 2006
The Mexico Tourism Board is encouraging tourists to consider holidays in Mexico in 2007, with an exciting opportunity arising for holidaymakers between January and April.
Mexico's Baja California Peninsula is the place to be in the early part of the new year, as grey whales converge on the area, travelling down the Pacific coast. Despite being as long as 52 feet and weighing as much as 36 tonnes, the whales are gentle enough to touch.
Holidays in Mexico in the early part of 2007 are the perfect choice if you want to witness and experience this most magnificent of natural events. The whales move at speeds of around five miles per hour and take approximately four months to travel the coastline.
Holidays in Mexico combine fantastic weather with incredible history, offering holidaymakers a great selection of things to see as well the chance to get a great tan.
The incredible local cuisine is a marvellous compliment to the white, sandy beaches and the vibrant night life, meaning holidays in Mexico are a great choice for a new year break.
