Diving courses before your scuba diving holiday

If you are a beginner planning to go on one of Iglutropical’s scuba diving holidays we recommend that you do your PADI Open Water certificate in the UK before you travel. This will allow you to maximise your diving time whilst on your scuba holiday. You can do the whole, or part of the certificate before you go, for example do the classroom and pool work required in the UK then, once on your scuba diving holiday, you just need to do the open water dives to gain your scuba qualification. There are also 'Discover Scuba' courses that you can go on to try diving before you book any of our scuba diving holidays.

Except for beginners, divers must present an internationally recognised diving certificate before being allowed to dive on their scuba holiday. On many scuba diving holidays divers will be required to undertake a short orientation dive to learn about local conditions. Remember to take your diving certificate, log book and current medical certificate on all scuba diving holidays as you will need to present them to the dive centre before being permitted to dive.
