St Lucia holiday information
Discover stunning scenery and beautiul beaches on your St Lucia holiday.

St Lucia Holidays

St Lucia is laid back and the tourism is less developed than on some of its more established Caribbean neighbours. The relaxed and informal atmosphere, enjoyed by many visitors on a St Lucia holiday, adds to the charm and beauty of the island.

Exploration on Your St Lucia Holiday

On St Lucia holidays you will find breathtaking scenery. The lush rainforest on the interior of the island is inter-spersed with numerous short rivers and mountains. Soufriere on the south-west coast is one of the worlds most accessible volcanoes and a few miles down the coast the view is dominated by the majestic twin peaks of the Pitons, which rise from the sea to a height of over 2,400 feet.

Relaxation on Your St Lucia Holiday

The beaches are excellent, with long stretches of golden sand, lined with palms, perfect for long lazy days on your St Lucia holiday. The ‘Golden Mile’ on the northwest coast is said to have the best beaches around Rodney Bay and Gros Islet. This is also where many of the hotels for visitors on St Lucia holidays are located. The west coast faces the Caribbean Sea and the water is generally calm, the Atlantic east coast has rougher waves making it good for windsurfing and exploring isolated beaches and coves on your St Lucia holiday.

Things to do on Your St Lucia Holiday

There are some fabulous top-class hotels in St Lucia with excellent facilities and restaurants, many of them offer a wide range of watersports and activities for you to enjoy on your St Lucia holiday. Nightlife is plentiful, most hotels have several bars and restaurants and some provide evening entertainment. Otherwise there are many superb restaurants and lively bars around the island for you to enjoy on your St Lucia holiday.

It could be very easy to spend all day on the beach during your St Lucia holiday, but there are many historic sites, interesting fishing villages and beautiful natural sights to visit on your St Lucia holiday. It would be a shame not to make the effort – unless of course you plan on taking another St Lucia holiday in the future.
