Tanzania/Zanzibar holiday information
The ideal place for a real African adventure of a holiday, Tanzania has some of the most exciting scenery, most interesting animals and idyllic beaches.

The ideal place for a real African adventure of a holiday, Tanzania has some of the most exciting scenery, most interesting animals and idyllic beaches.

Tanzania has some one of the highest concentrations of wildlife anywhere in Africa. In the Serengeti wildlife park you can see most of it. Covering an area of 12,950 square kilometres of mostly plains, it contains an estimated 3 million animals and stretches all the way to Lake Victoria. You can see the tree climbing lions, zebra, gazelles and a whole host of other animals in their natural habitats on a number of different types of safari; including the famous Serengeti balloon safari.

Another destination to consider on your trip to Tanzania is the tropical island of Zanzibar. Long well known for some of the best tropical beaches in Africa it sits just of the Tanzanian coast in the Indian Ocean. One of the last places in Africa to abolish slavery it is now home to fantastic palmed beaches, clear blue waters and world class scuba diving and snorkelling. Zanzibar can be experienced on its own or as part of a longer tour of Tanzania.

For the more adventurous climbing Mount Kilimanjaro is an absolute must. Available all year round these climbs can be accomplished in as little as 5 days and are an experience no one will forget. Imagine climbing Africa’s highest free standing mountain and looking out over the lush jungle with the snow at your feet.

It does not really matter if you laze on the beach all holiday or come back with 10 films in your baggage. Tanzania is one of those destinations which promises and delivers.
