Grenada has a beautiful and diverse landscape, with over 45 sandy palm fringed beaches, a rugged volcanic interior, exotic rainforests and stunning waterfalls.
12 miles long and 12 miles wide, Grenada is the most southerly of the Windward Islands, the capital, St. George's, is arguably the most picturesque city in the Caribbean. The harbour cove is surrounded by colourful dockside warehouses, red-tiled traditional shops and homes and is one of the prettiest harbour settings in the Caribbean. Grand Anse Beach, a smooth sandy expanse stretching for two miles around the curve of a gentle bay, is world famous.
The island has only recently become a holiday destination and remains peaceful and unspoilt providing the perfect location for relaxation, sailing, scuba diving and snorkelling in the beautiful waters and reefs off the coasts of both Grenada and its sister island Carriacou.
Grenada is also known as ‘Spice Island’ due to its production of nutmeg, mace, cinnamon, ginger, cocoa and cloves. The traditional spice plantations on the island focus on quality rather than quantity
Grenada offers a relaxed lifestyle in truly idyllic surroundings. There is little evening entertainment, and the island is less commercial than many of it neighbours.
