On holiday with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. |
So where do the most glamorous couple on the planet choose to holiday? Well Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were recently spotted in Namibia, on the west coast of Southern Africa. Angelina Jolie filmed some of her movie 'Beyond Boarders' in Namibia and must have fallen for the place highlighted by her return, with Brad Pitt having said he is "very fond" of the country. Namibia Tourism believes the visit of the film stars provides further endorsement for the destination, with the UK and Ireland trade sales account director Nadine Rankin saying "What this tells me is that if the couple go to Namibia with their baby, then it must be a safe, clean environment. What is more, they had their privacy protected by the Namibians".
A relatively new destination in terms of 'mainstream' tourism, Namibia is fast becoming a must see destination. A cheaper and less commercialised alternative to South Africa, Namibia boasts some unique features. It is one of the only places in the world where the desert meets the sea, and has the oldest desert in the world. Namibia is home of the Etosha National Park, where the wild animals come to you as you view them at their watering holes. The Skeleton Coast is well known for the shipwrecks, and great views of canyons and sand dunes. Whilst the Sand Dunes at Sossusvlei can reach up to 325m high and make for a great place to quad bike or sand board. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie where spotted in the coastal towns of Swakopmund and Walvis Bay. Here there is an array of activities, from swimming at Palm Beach and playing golf at Rossmund, one of Southern Africa's most scenic and unusual grass golf courses, to sand skiing and skydivimg. Plus it is easy to get to on direct flights from the London Gatwick and enjoys a fantastic climate, so what are you waiting for? If it's good enough for Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt then it's good enough for me".
