Diving for kids at Beaches resorts

Diving for kids at Beaches resorts

Now the Kids can learn to dive too! At Beaches resorts children who are too young to go out diving on their own, but old enough to learn some basics, can now take introduction courses with the new 'Bubblemaker' and 'Seal Team' schemes.

In becoming a 'Bubblemaker' they will practice breathing underwater with diving equipment, so by the end of the session they will be able to clear their mask and know about recovery. The classes also incorporate some fun games, so they learn whilst they play.

The 'Seal Team' format is made up of five, 1-hour classes or 'Aquamissions' as they are known by the budding divers. Here the children will learn how to put on and adjust the gear and air supply signals. The finale to the course allows children to swim under water in scuba equipment, with a PADI certificate for a confined dive, the reward for its successful completion.

At beaches Turks & Caicos, there is also the National Geographic Diver programme, a four day course that aims to teach youngsters how to explore the fascinating under water world, navigate though it and identify the plants and animals that make it so wonderfully diverse.

What better way to keep the little ones amused this holiday, plus, with children safely supervised, it will give you time to go and explore the reefs and wrecks, or to just relax in peace on the beach of course!
